We'll keep this simple.
This is how we'd want privacy explained to us: what we collect, what we don't, and who — if anyone — we share it with.
Last updated: 20 Aug 2026The short version
We collect information you give us in order to do business with you — answering a question, sending early-access updates, fulfilling a purchase. We may collect aggregate, non-identifying information about how the site is used, to understand what's working.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except the minimum needed to actually provide the service you asked for. We don't want more of your data than we need to serve you, and we don't collect more than that on purpose.
The rest of this page is the detail behind that.
What we collect
When you request early access or contact us, we collect what you type into the form: name, email address, and anything else you choose to add (company, message, what you'd generate). We use it to reply to you and, if you asked for early-access updates, to contact you about SpiceGrinder's availability — nothing else.
When you purchase a license (via our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy), your billing information is collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy directly, under their own privacy policy — we receive only what we need to fulfill your order and manage your license (e.g. your email address and order/license status), not your full payment details. We may contact you if we spot a pattern in your license purchases that indicates we may be able to save you money.
When you browse the site, we may collect aggregate, non-identifying usage information (e.g. which pages get visited, in the aggregate) to understand how the site is being used and improve it. This is not tied to your individual identity.
What we don't collect
We don't run advertising trackers, don't build marketing profiles for advertising, and don't ask for more than the form in front of you requires. If a field is optional, it's genuinely optional.
Third parties
We do not sell your data. Full stop — not to data brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone.
We do share the minimum necessary data with a small number of service providers who help us run the business, strictly to do the job you're asking them to do:
- Lemon SqueezyProcesses payments, delivers your purchased license/binaries, and sends subscription-related email reminders under their own privacy policy.
- DreamhostThis website is hosted by Dreamhost and general website operations are subject to their own privacy policy.
- RemixerDreamhost's website building service handles form submissions for contact emails and is subject to its own privacy policy.
None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond delivering the service to you. This is different from selling or renting your data to a third party for their own use — we don't do that, and never will.
How long we keep it
Early-access and contact submissions are kept for up to six months from last contact unless you ask us to delete them, to allow us to retain conversation history to serve you better. Purchase/license records are kept as long as needed for support, license validity, and legal/tax requirements.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to tell you what we have on file for you, correct it, or delete it. Email us and we'll take care of it directly — no account portal, no runaround.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything material, let you know directly rather than relying on you to notice.
